12 June 2013 | Art Basel is just about to launch its 2013 edition. Widely acknowledged as the premier international art show, it will run from 13 June until 16 June at Halls 1 and 2 of Messe Basel, Messeplatz in Basel, Switzerland.

There will be both an Australian and New Zealand presence this year. Australia's representative artist at this year's Venice Biennale, Simryn Gill, will exhibit in the
Unlimited Artists sector. This is Art Basel's pioneering exhibition platform for experimental projects.

Auckland's Hopkinson Mossman gallery (formerly Hopkinson Cundy) will exhibit at Liste Art Fair Basel. It will showcase new work by Ruth Buchanan, Milli Jannides and Kate Newby (pictured above). Liste is a key satellite event of Art Basel and is now in its 18th year. It opened yesterday and runs until 16 June.
