Tim Sterling: Platzangst - Art Collector

Tim Sterling's work is intricately, meticulously and obsessively constructed. Often using everyday objects which have a practical function, he weaves, threads and ties them together, rewriting their purpose. In his latest body of work, consisting of predominately installation works, he experiments with plywood, chosen because of its direct association with architectural models. Sterling has been awarded a number of Australia Council residencies including Milan in 2008, Tokyo in 2010 and Paris later this year.
