Todd Fuller exhibits in Rome - Art Collector

19 June 2013 | Todd Fuller’s hand drawn film Postcards from the Pope is part of the current exhibition Please Be Quiet at the British School of Rome in Italy. As the recipient of the 2013 William Fletcher Travelling Fellowship’s residency to the British School at Rome, Fuller has spent the past three months in Rome.

The impact of Fuller’s experiences in the famous Italian city is visible in the work selected for the British School’s artists in residency exhibition. In
Postcards from the Pope Fuller casts the Pope as the protagonist, drawing upon themes of power, expectation and isolation. The film is a single channel projection installed in front of an antique throne.

The exhibition in at the British School of Rome runs until 22 June 2013. Fuller will exhibit the full body of work produced during his residency at Brenda May Gallery in Sydney from 20 August to 7 September 2013.
