Tony Bond moves to heritage warehouse - Art Collector

The new AP Bond gallery on Ann Street.

20 February 2012 | Adelaide’s AP Bond gallery has relocated to a heritage warehouse at 2 Ann Street in Stepney. The new gallery is just behind the old space on Magill Street.

Director Tony Bond, who has owned the warehouse for the past 14 years, decided to move in when the building’s tenancy finished.

The warehouse, which was originally used as a stable and then a timber merchant’s storehouse, has now been renovated but with a mind to preserving the building’s historical character.

The gallery is presently showing a group exhibition of both Indigenous and non-Indigenous artists. Opening hours continue to be 11am to 5pm, Tuesday to Saturday.
