|20 February 2012 | Adelaide’s AP Bond gallery has relocated to a heritage warehouse at 2 Ann Street in Stepney. The new gallery is just behind the old space on Magill Street. |
Director Tony Bond, who has owned the warehouse for the past 14 years, decided to move in when the building’s tenancy finished.
The warehouse, which was originally used as a stable and then a timber merchant’s storehouse, has now been renovated but with a mind to preserving the building’s historical character.
The gallery is presently showing a group exhibition of both Indigenous and non-Indigenous artists. Opening hours continue to be 11am to 5pm, Tuesday to Saturday.
