Troy Innocent: New Abstraction - Art Collector

Troy Innocent, Delta, 2014. Laser cut plywood and acrylic, 66 x 89cm. Courtesy: the artist and Anna Pappas Gallery, Melbourne

Troy Innocent’s solo exhibition takes the concept of an interactive gallery space to a new dimension. Innocent’s hybrid language that exists within the rules and systems of a digital world is expressed through signs and symbols of the artist’s invention.

Focussing on the world of code, Innocent creates an interactive language, allowing for a conversation between the sculptures themselves. Inviting the viewer into this world, Innocent drives the expansive concept of a pliable reality. Examining relationships between language, experience and code, a continuing dialogue into the abstraction of our own environment is created.
