Two new painters sign with Sullivan+Strumpf - Art Collector

28 February 2011 | Young painters Dane Lovett and Matthew Allen have joined the stable at Sullivan+Strumpf Fine Art in Sydney.

Lovett, who recently won the 2010 RBS Emerging Artist Award, is known for paintings depicting obsolete technologies like VHS tapes, while Matthew Allen is a colour painter interested in the breadth of colour experience available within painting.

Both artists were featured in a brief group exhibition of stable artists, which opened Sullivan+Strumpf’s new premises in Zetland last week. The gallery has moved from Paddington to a converted warehouse at 799 Elizabeth Street, Zetland.
