20 April 2011 | Painter Victoria Reichelt has been appointed to the Australia Council’s Visual Arts Board. Board members are typically appointed for three years and are involved in discussing and setting policy and assessing grant applications.

Reichelt was appointed because of her knowledge of contemporary visual art, including the work of young and emerging artists.

She joins other art world professionals including Ted Snell, the current commissioner for the Venice Biennale who also chairs the Visual Arts Board, Dennis Del Favero, Angela Valamanesh and Danie Mellor.
