Vitrify Alcorso Ceramic Award finalists announced - Art Collector

26 September 2012 | The finalists for the 2012 Vitrify Alcorso Ceramic Award, an acquisitive $10,000 prize, have been announced. They are Stephen Bird, Tania Rollond, Neville French and Julie Bartholomew.

The artists will develop work for a group exhibition at the JamFactory, Adelaide. The winner will be chosen from this exhibition.

The judging panel consists of Professor Noel Frankham, head of Hobart School of Art; Prue Venables, a ceramicist and creative director of the ceramics studio at JamFactory; and Robert Reason, curator of European and Australian decorative arts at the Art Gallery of South Australia.

The Vitrify award is presented as part of the Australian Ceramics Triennale:
Subversive Clay. The award announcement and triennale delegate reception will be held on Friday 28 September 2012 at the JamFactory.
