30 January 2012 | A painting by Deborah Bonar, Wendy Hayden and Joanna Robertson has been turned into a large-scale glass mural in Perth’s High Wycombe.

The artists from Kidogo Arthouse were commissioned by glass company Cooling Brothers, which then turned the painting, titled
Munday Swamp, into an eight by nine metre mural for the exterior of its offices. Artsource, the peak body for Western Australian artists, assisted Cooling Brothers in the commission.

Bonar comments on the work: “We were inspired by the history of the area where Cooling Brothers is presently located. The Munday Swamp wetlands were a rich source of food and material resources for Munday’s people, the Beeloo Clan. They hunted and camped there, made tools, weapons and ceremonial items, looked after their land and their dreamings.”

The unveiling will be held on 8 February 2012.
