Since 1971, Tjunkaya Tapaya has had her artwork featured in numerous exhibitions both in Australia and internationally, and she works in a range of mediums including Tjanpi (weavings), ceramics, punu (wood) and print-making.
More recently, Tjunkaya has chosen to increase her concentration on painting, and this focus has seen her become one of the most in demand female artists on the APY Lands.
Alcaston Gallery is thrilled to show this outstanding new body of work in Tjunkaya Tapaya’s first ever solo exhibition, Nintintjaku – teaching, showing, passing on.
